Understanding Metadata
When you save something in Avlix Cloud, the system doesn’t just store the file itself, it also keeps a small collection of details about it. These details are called metadata. It’s like a note attached to your file that tells you what it is, when it was created, and who added it, without needing to open it.
What Metadata Includes:
File Name: The label you’ve given your file.
Format: Type of file, for example, PDF, JPG, or DOCX.
File Size: The amount of space it takes up.
Created On: The date the file first appeared.
Last Updated: When it was changed most recently.
Uploaded By: The person who added it to Avlix Cloud.
Access Settings: Information on who can view or edit the file.
Why It’s Useful
Metadata keeps your storage organized and makes navigation faster. You can sort or group files by type or date, and find what you need even if you don’t remember the exact file name. It also helps the system load and display your files more efficiently.
How It Works in Avlix Cloud
You can filter or search by file details, see when something was last modified, and manage your stored content without scrolling endlessly through folders.
In short, metadata is the invisible helper that keeps your Avlix Cloud clean, structured, and easy to use.
